Supporters

We are extremely grateful for the support of:

Kensington and Chelsea Foundation – Hands Across the Borough fund

We are delighted that this Foundation have renewed their grant to us which provides community meals to people who are isolated. Once people are through our doors we work hard to make sure they come back by providing a warm welcome and targeted support.

The Royal Garden Hotel

We have been supported by the Royal Garden Hotel for close to two years and during that time they have raised funds, mentored our members, supported staff, provided us with resources, cooked delicious food and been very lovely friends to us all. It has been a unique partnership and one that we will treasure forever.

The Martin Family

We are so grateful to the Martin family for being long-terms supporters and helping us grow. With their generosity we have been able to develop the social enterprise elements of our cafe and garden projects to generate more income and provide more placements for people needing our help. They’ve also helped with our recent cafe renovations so that SMART is a much nicer place to be.

The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust

Without the extremely generous gift from The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust we would not have been able to pilot our long wished for – and very popular – Meet-up project, run in partnership with Action Disability Kensington and Chelsea. This project enables people from both charities to support each other to access social activities.

Cadogan Pier

Cadogan Pier are helping us make our dreams come true! They have provided pro bono architect and planning support to help us develop the derelict part of our building into a health and well-being hub. They have also given us space for group work and paid for our gardening and floristry services. We are fortunate indeed to have such good neighbours.

The Kooks

How often does an internationally loved, stadium-playing band support a little local charity?! The Kooks played an intimate gig in aid of SMART and funded our music work for a year! Not only have we been able to take our music project to new people but we have also been able to open a recording project that is doing incredible things with people.

Toby and Jennifer Greenbury

The Greenburys have inspired and delighted our members through their generous funding of trips. These have been to their country business and wonderful hospitality in their home. They have supported our social enterprises by allowing us to provide catering at their events and following Jennifer’s advice we hope to launch a new product.

Many of the people and organisations who support SMART are local and take a personal interest in our work. This means a huge amount to us all. Every penny we get from our supporters goes directly on delivering our services and every word of friendly advice, practical support and encouragement lifts our hearts. We wouldn’t be the organisation we are without you. You truly are our friends. Thank you!
