Update from SMART We want to reassure our communi Update from SMART We want to reassure our community following a security issue identified at our Gertrude Street site over the Christmas period: SMART London was made aware that a door to its Gertrude Street site had been left unlocked over the Christmas period. As previously shared, the charity has temporarily relocated while essential works take place, and most of our records and equipment remain stored at the Gertrude Street building. We were able to investigate the matter promptly and can confirm that no service user data was accessed. RBKC is supporting us to move all sensitive data into a secure storage facility. They have also followed up with the contractor involved and reviewed security arrangements to ensure that SMART equipment remains insured and safely stored. We take data protection and safeguarding extremely seriously and will continue to work closely with partners to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
