What we do

SMART may be a small organisation but we do a lot and we work in partnership with people and organisations that share our values. The idea is that anyone affected by mental illness can come to us for information and support and if we can’t help, we’ll know someone who can.

We also provide excellent food, drinks, mail-room services, employment support, IT training, music, social activities, floristry and gardening services to anyone and everyone.

Whether you are affected by a condition, an employer, a mental health worker, a carer, a service provider, a journalist, a policy-maker, hungry or anything in-between please do not hesitate to contact us if you think we may be able to help.

Our Projects

We call our areas of work, projects. Some of them are run as businesses where we pay our workers, others offer accredited training or opportunities to build life skills. All projects forge pathways to more independent living and mainstream activities. People can be referred to the full range of projects by a care professional or drop-in/self-refer to other activities.
